49 revised and expanded letter #24

Dominick,

it was great talking to you last month. I just wanted to let you know i am still coming to Budapest; I’ll be arriving in early summer to direct my new play Summer of Dub. we run from june – mid-august, but i will be scouting locations in Amsterdamn soon after. between then, i will have a few weeks to un-wind & recover from the beatings of the critics hahha.

you can reach me @ Nelly’s, if we can patch things up before then. otherwise, i’ll really be slumming it, but i guess a sleeping bag & a sky full of stars never hurt anyone!! either way, as long as the play goes over fine, i’ll manage

for the first few days- i will be at the universal- under the name Yvonne Cellings- you can always leave a message with the door-man

Annnnd how @ that moravian choc- is it really from twin peaks-

anyway- i am in the initial stages of planning the next play in galway——

o yea muffins the cat died last month-
remember– how he would claw yr face when u slept over??!! ha and you were so hep, just wiped away the blood and laughed– sometimes, i really miss those days-

i used to put on my productions +
it was really something to SEE

these days- i’m more in boardrooms than i am in the pub- and thats a drag right

but you gotta haggle,
i’m keeping artistic control
so it would be folly to complain

rick is
dooing well these days–
he always asks about yr newest mis- adventures
he’s got this horticulture import|export
it seems to run itslf
rick he keeps his cars shiny- so i gurss he’s happy

Mom spends a lot of time typing companies n ppl fr the old country. u should see her face when i bring a letter from all the way over the ocean– She’s simply over the moon, i’m telling yu

dad seems to be moving up in his company w|o really trying– every week he has some new BS promotion and we’re off to Parma’s to celebrate– i’ve learned very quickly to opt for the loaded baked potatoe–  you get out of there two times as faster–!! it works <——–

This last year has been exhausting. writing and working and dubious deadlines. this is the main reason i’m looking forward to seeing you in buda-pest

a lil dust from the old times will do me good- i will have only 2 weeks at the end of august before i have to ramble on- so i sincerely HOPE to see you this time @round= and let the candle do what it was lit for-

All in All, – i’m thinking this trip will be good for me-:- it will be even better if i can accompany you somewhere.
